We never really know the relationship betweeen seeing and knowing. The explanation, the words, never quite fit the view.
And the way we see is effected by what we know or believe.

And after cameras were invented & the picture is taken, the whole uniqueness is taken away altogether. Meanings are changed & a new ownership evolves.

This is the last picture Van Gough painted before he killed himself.
Now the meaning of the picture to you has changed, even if it is only slightly.
And now the true meaning of this painting has changed again, just from me writing this post & from the way I have written it. And so it will again, and again, and again...
Think about what you see & try to find something that is still true.
